i designed a bolard , but it must have a reflective ribbon. then i tried to make a material but i didn´t make it.
If you are looking for something similar to this (white stripes), it is possible that I will use emissive material with some labels on it to mimic the bright reflection.
And Will’s tutorial may help you for these labels.
If these are not helpful to you, could you please add some reference images to see what you need? With reference images, it’s easier to answer.
I looking at the internet what kind of material actually is the reflective material. Think most exists from a base layer with a top layer. The top layer can for example be tiny glass shards spreading the light.
So I was just playing a bit with some simple thing I created with actually two layers of extra material at the places which are reflective. Not really satisfied yet but it’s fun to play with. This is a metallic paint layer with a glass layer with some bump/opacity noise.
Maybe it helps you a bit. In the zip you find the scene which might give you some extra info about what I currently did. Must say that a single rough aluminium also didn’t look bad but it depends a bit on what you want the final render to look like.
Thought that it was allowed to upload zip files but seems not, located here: https://we.tl/t-wF8dVqD0a7
Good luck!
